An athlete dedicates their time to being better at what it is that they love, which is something we should all strive to do. The betterment of our physical health improves our mental health, and as a result improves us as individuals, taking one step forward on the road to self progression.
WHAT IS AN ATHLETE?
Athlete’ (noun) - a person who is proficient in sports and other forms of physical exercise;
Athletes come in all shapes and sizes, and represent a wealth of disciplines that require hard work, dedication and a strong will to progress. We celebrate them all. At Be Defiant we believe that no matter the level you compete at, you have the right to be called an ‘athlete’. We believe that whether you’re a professional, Semi-Pro, amateur or a Sunday warrior, you have the right to be called an athlete.

We want to make a change in this world, and we want to work with athletes who have a passion for mental health and the development of it. Not only are we focused on raising awareness of mental health, we put a large emphasis on working with the best athletes from a wide variety of disciplines and helping them to grow within their sport, supporting them every step of the way. Self development is at the core of our brand, and is the message that our athletes go by. Wake up, and improve.

Improvement doesn’t have to come from just the physical. It could be gaining a mental advantage, it could be learning something new, doing that extra rep, knocking a millisecond of your time or learning to ground yourself when the pressure is on. No matter the discipline, improvements of any kind are a step in the right direction, one foot in front of the other on this journey. A step towards becoming a better version of yourself first and foremost, and a better athlete as a result.
