Time to Change is a growing social movement working to change the way we all think and act about mental health problems. They have already reached millions of people and begun to improve attitudes and behaviour.
Despite the progress Time to Change have made, there are many people that still don’t consider mental health relevant to them. They don’t believe mental health problems are likely to affect them or people they know.
But the reality is that mental health can affect anyone. Statistically, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year. That’s why the work carried out by Time to Change is so important. No one should have to fear being treated differently because of a mental health problem.

The challenge involves you covering the distance that you have set in any way you would like. The point is to get people moving, improving their fitness and just enjoying themselves in the process.
Nope! The challenge is for everybody, including amateurs, professionals, and anybody else who feels like challenging themselves. You don't have to have any previous experience, just sign up and be willing to push a little harder than normal.
Not at all! You can do the challenge in as many efforts as you choose. Of course, the challenge is designed to push you a little harder than normal, but it's also there to get fit at your own pace. All you have to do is make sure you finish the distance, and give us the evidence!
Absolutely! The benefit of the Be Defiant. virtual challenge is that it can be completed however you choose. You can run, ride, swim or do cartwheels for the entire way. Whatever you choose is fine by us!
